Sake to me!
So this blog is quickly becoming rather thematic, isn’t it? Restaurants everywhere! Good thing I’ve actually been bringing my lunch to work (fairly) regularly. First there was Maggiano’s, then Red Lobster… Tonight’s feature: Koi Koi Sushi & Roll in historic Falls Church, Virginia! Koi Koi is my absolute favorite sushi place. We go there so often, the owners and most of the wait staff all know me! It’s only slightly embarrassing — it’s mostly just awesome. It’s right in my own fair city to boot! If you live in the DC area, you definitely need to gift them some patronage.
Sidenote: Did you know that our nation’s founding father and former President George Washington went to (drumroll please)… The Falls Church? That’s right. You’re welcome for that nugget of knowledge. Don’t say I never gave you anything, kids.
Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming: Ben, Taylor and I partook in some delicious sushi tonight, as if that wasn’t clear enough. The sake, alas, did not belong to me but it all certainly made for some pretty sweet pictures, so without further adieu:
Do I even need to tell you how this awesomefest ended?
Label me satiated!
Tomorrow night brings the Falls Church New Year’s Eve Celebration! My brother’s band, Judo Chop, is playing the family-oriented festival and we might pop into one or two of the local pubs as well. It should be a nice, low-key way to welcome 2011. How is everyone else planning on ringing in the new year?
If I don’t, er, “see” you before then, Happy New Year!!!
