Fitbloggin’ 2011!
Well, the Fitbloggin’ conference is over. Noooooo!
It was an absolutely awesome weekend of meeting new friends (I adamantly refuse to start using the term “blends”, btw haha), learning immense amounts of new information about blogging and the social media sphere (did you check out my notes from the session on how to utilize social media in blogging?) and even getting to complete my third 5K!
I took so many pictures and met so many people and had so much fun that I’m going to throw it all up in this post at once so you can all relive the magic with me. YOU ARE WELCOME. (But seriously, apologies for the longest post in the history of posts due to the obscene amount of pictures I feel compelled to share.) Heeeere, we go! 
We were staying at the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront – literally RIGHT on the water. Amazing views!
And look who else was there: Anne! She is awesome (dare I say, fantastic? HA!), and also happens to be my sister’s bestie from high school, so we go literally way back. Heh. Jealous, sister?

We got to spend a little time outside, walking around. The weather was pretty crummy the first day but cleared up BEAUTIFULLY on Saturday!
So beautifully, in fact, that we got to see this rockin’ segueway tour zipping down by the harbor. Haaaaahahaha.
Absolutely loved getting to meet all my roomies for the weekend, too! From the top that’s Amy and Elisha, Julie, and Jordan. Lovelovelove!
And holy frijole, the swag. OH. EM. GEE. The swag. New sneakers, running capris, a hat that has built-in speakers, a new SCALE, Popchips and Larabars and coupons galore… and that only skims the surface! I think I have enough Popchips to last me for the rest of the year. HA! Okay, let’s be honest. They will be gone by Tuesday.
My room looks like it exploded. It’s awesome. And let’s not forget the EATS:
These were the biggest effing crabcakes of my life. I couldn’t even make it through an entire one! Too bad they were only okay – lots of little pieces of shell and a lot of filler, unfortunately. Always had great company at dinner, though! Okay. I think I’ve killed you with pictures enough for now. I just wanted to get it all down, y’know, for posterity! Hopefully you’ll all be able to reap the benefits of everything I learned in days to come… I have SO many new ideas for posts!
Can’t wait ’til next year!

Wait, you’re not using the “word” blends? That seems right up your alley
I thought you would appreciate the progress I’m making.
Wow! I don’t even have a healthy living or fitness blog and I totally wish I’d gone to fitbloggin’ – just for the swag! Looks like you had a blast!
Right? The swag is ridonk. And not everyone at these conferences is even a blogger, let alone a fitness one! You should totally consider coming next time!
I have lot’s of things to day about this post. First, I will never use the word blends either. It’s gross. Second, I’m glad we share mutual love for one another. It seems like we were just meant to be friends. Third, you organized your thoughts about Fitbloggin’ much more concisely than I was able to.Lastly, I’m moving up there just as soon as I find a job! D.C. or bust!

Oh gosh, you flatterer. I’m blushing! And hey, I’m not knocking your use of it! After all, you should hear–read?– some of the abbrevs (heh) and portmanteaus that I come up with. I use the term “whasian” with alarming frequency.
